The Member Benefits - Accounting Practice Management - DFK USA

Expanding The World of Accounting Practice Management

Through our conferences, surveys and other resources, you learn about accounting management techniques that work:

DFK/USA Committees are forums for the exchange of technical expertise and accounting practice management information related to particular practice specialties. The Committees comprise practitioners with experience as head of a firm department or with significant experience and expertise in a given practice area.

Several of the Committees conduct accounting practice management surveys. The accounting practice management committee conducts the DFK/USA MAP Survey annually. Each firm provides extensive financial and statistical data to enable Member Firms to benchmark themselves. Because Member Firms have territorial exclusivity, there is no hesitation about sharing such sensitive information. The MAP Survey then serves as a touchstone for open and honest discussion at meetings of the Managing Partners. The Audit & Accounting, Tax and Business Valuation Committee also conduct annual accounting practice management surveys. Other Committees may conduct surveys from time to time. Each Committee sets its own program for the year. Some have a significant role in planning major DFK conferences; some meet around an AICPA conference; some conduct regular teleconferences. Each Committee has an e-mail list or "listserv" which enables members to communicate efficiently with one another at any time with a request for assistance or information
